This video explains the different between using Bank Feeds vs. Batch Enter (QuickBooks Accountant) vs. 3rd party importing apps.

In a Nutshell, the best way to compare the two options:

BATCH ENTER TRANSACTIONS

  • Requires bank to have ability to export all transactions in CSV or EXCEL – COPY/PASTE
  • You must assign the expense account
  • Vendors may be created and repeated with slight changes

BANK FEEDS

  • Requires bank to have ability to export all transactions in .QBO format
  • Will use Bank Rules to auto assign expense accounts
  • Vendors get renamed

For direct import via a 3rd party app such as Zed Axis is also an option serving as a 3rd choice.
